In addition to local stamp clubs there are many national and international stamp collecting societies a collector can join. Becoming a member of a specialized stamp collecting organization enables you to learn more about your areas of interest.

If you are having difficulties identifying an unknown stamp and have exhausted the resources available at hand, try contacting the members of a specialized organization or society. With hundreds, if not thousands, of worldwide members dedicated to the stamp collecting hobby you are able to draw upon the collective wealth of intellectual, historical and anecdotal knowledge.
