Local Stamp Shows
The opportunities to learn from other collectors, expand your collection and interests should not be passed over. Attending a local stamp show is one of many ways to meet other people that share common collecting interests. As a young collector, you may be overwhelmed by the number of people attending a national or international show. Attending a local show with 10-20 dealers may be easier to navigate until you are comfortable and ready to visit a major event. Fortunately, Colorado is home to one of the largest national stamp shows and a number of local annual stamp shows.

The 2026 Rocky Mountain Stamp Show will feature more than 20 stamp dealers from around the United States selling all manner of philatelic material. There are four guest societies visiting and entering competitive exhibits. It is estimated the show will have over 250 exhibit frames this year. The show is also hosting the George Brett Cup competition, an invitational exhibition sponsored by the American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors. The Rocky Mountain Philatelic Library will also be hosting a silent auction with over 700 lots available. Additional attractions include the ever popular "What's in Your Attic?" a Scouting Stamp Collecting Merit Badge workshop and the Youth Table.
